"I believe at some point in our lives we all encounter a dark point.  My dark place has allowed me to go back in the community and be a light to others so that I can direct them out of their dark places.  My ultimate goal is to demonstrate the love of God, while showing our youth that there is always a way out of an unfavorable situation." 

My Story

Decema Wallace is a native of Kingstree, South Carolina. She received her high school education from Kingstree Senior High School. In 2007, Wallace moved to San Antonio, Texas where she attended Career Point College and studied Business Administration. Years later, Wallace relocated to Columbia, S.C., to pursue a career in accounting with the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, where she is currently employed.

 

Wallace earned her Evangelist license in 2016 and subsequently started a ministry entitled “Sisters and Brothers in Christ.” Through this ministry, she developed a serious a passion for ministry. Because of her enthusiasm to do God’s work, she started a women’s ministry called, “Wisdom Leading Courage (WLC),” which focuses on building and preparing women for the future.

 

Wallace believes that we all encounter a dark places in our lives and someone needs to be able to witness the goodness of Jesus. That's why Wallace enjoys giving back to the community through various projects including food drives, offering words of encouragement, and spearheading leadership roles. Her goal is to demonstrate the love of God while showing others that God is able to do exceeding and abundantly above all we can think, ask, or see.

 

Wallace is a dedicated member of First Nazareth Baptist Church in Columbia, S.C., where she was license as a minister in 2018. She works in various capacities in the church including Praise Dance ministry and Culinary Ministry. She faithfully attends Sunday school and Bible study. Wallace is looking forward to increasing her discipleship as she becomes a stronger woman of God.

 

Wallace believes, “you cannot be heal if you are not taking the medicine which is the word of God.” Wallace is currently enrolled at University of Phoenix earning her Bachelor of Business Management Degree with concentration in Psychology. She has 2 sons,

Al-Malik Moore who attends Tenseness State University where he currently plays college football and Omarion Wallace who is excelling in the Richland County School District in Columbia, S.C. She is the third child of 7 children which includes her twin brother.
