about

Sisters and Brothers In Christ Spiritual Mentoring Program was birthed from our founder Decema Wallace's years as a youth and troubled teen. Decema was assigned to a mentor as a youth which helped her overcome many challenges.

Throughout her adolescence, Decema felt as though she was counted out before she was given a chance, and this very notion inspired her to start a mentoring program.  It is her belief that “It still takes a village to raise a child”. Our program is willing to fill in the gaps as much as we can to increase the success rate of the youth in our communities. We believe it is our responsibility as adults to prepare our youth for the future. We chose spiritual mentoring because we believe they will encounter situations in life that will require spiritual guides and knowledge in order to overcome.

The mission of Sisters and Brothers In Christ Spiritual Mentoring Program is to make a difference one child at a time. We believe if we reach one, then he or she can teach one. We understand that we cannot save them all but if we come together as a community we can accomplish more than we can imagine.

As an organization, we understand that achieving our mission and foundational goals will take time, which we are prepared for along with patience, faith and determination. We acknowledge that these may not be easy tasks, but with the help of God leading us we are expecting great results and mind blowing changes to come.
